Unwieldy PPK

Hello,

My PPK has become somewhat unwieldy at 4GB on my low IOPS server, is there anything in the newer versions that allows me to have multiple smaller ppks without sacrificing the convenience of being able to deploy without having to select based on hardware? This is of course not including the winPE drivers, which would still need to all be in one ppk, unless I'm wrong about that?

Hello DJ,

You no longer need to combined platform packs with the latest version of SmartDeploy. You can simple select the single platform packs when creating your boot media or place the single platform packs in the same location as your image and the correct platform pack will be used for deployment.

Including the WinPE drivers? I would assume they would have to be on the WDS image.

The single platform packs will have the PE drivers included. As long as you make your WDS boot wim with the single packs you want (You can select multiple during the media wizard process) the correct Windows PE drivers will be injected into the WDS boot wim.
