DJ.
I've got a few machines that won't update. Can't uninstall v2 because msi claims it's not installed, can't install v3 because it wants to uninstall v2, according to logs. Wondering if anyone else has seen this? DJ.
Nvm, I think I got this working. Deleted all regkeys that were related to SD and the C:\windows\smartdeploy folder Think it's working now
DJ.
C:\windows\syswow64\smartdeploy Computer\HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Installer\Products\XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX Whichever one says smartdeploy.
Jeff Harris
Thanks for sharing DJ. We've seen the v2 client uninstallation fail before, with Windows wanting the location of the original MSI. If you're uninstalling v2.0.3090, you should be able to run this command to kill the regkey needed to force uninstallation and get v3 installed; REG DELETE "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Installer\Products\A325E1EDF41A10140A46F166D3BC7EBC" /f
DJ.
Thanks Jeff, that helped me a lot actually. To be fair I did a mass upgrade so I expected some to break.
