reference machine refresh.

If I select refresh a reference machine, it is "submitted for refresh" how do I know when the task has been completed ?

same for images, How do I know when the image has been refreshed ?

That action is going to attempt to read the metadata of those files and reflect changes to them in the console. Are you finding that you've made changes to a VM or image that's not being reflected in the console?

The last modified date doesn't change. it still reflects the last time I captured the image  or added the reference machine. Also to make sure I'm understanding this correctly, the image updates or refreshes from the reference machine ? yes ?

size of image doesn't change and after closing this window nothing seems to happen. No status window or update. also last modified date doesn't change

I've got the same question. A year later and no answer? When you refresh an image, what happens and when do you know it's done? If all you did was a few small updates to your master machine image, how do you update it? Is a refresh right, but how do you know it's done?

I found this topic as I am wondering the same. In the meantime, just so that I know that it's been done, i'm deleting the image and re-capturing it. It would be nice to have some status on a refresh.

A Google search led me to this thread...

I refreshed a reference machine and its image. The refresh almost completed instantly (I made minor changes to the VM). Time stamp (Date Modified) did change. But I want to confirm if it does change?
