mnewman
well , I've created a reference image in VMware. Captured it in Smartdeploy and am failing to deploy it to a client. So I returned to my reference machine to investigate and nothing..... my image is gone from my VMware library. So I build another image. this time I copy it. Smart deploy uses it for reference and I fail to deploy to the client again , so I return to VMware this time I get an error showing smart deploy is controlling my virtual machine. It won't let me take ownership of my virtual machine to make changes ? How am I supposed to update a virtual machine or image if I can't accesses it VMware ? Aaron@Shared
mnewman, Make sure that when you are done with your Golden Image, that you close the image with shutdown.exe /s /t 0. This will ensure the VM is shutdown properly. Then capture it.
