  1. Hi Tom,

    I have seen this come about in the past when the Media Wizard cannot correctly get the size of the Platform Pack. Can you please try changing the number format in regional settings to English rather than what it currently is?

    Thanks,

    Erik

    Hi again.

    That seems to be the case for us also, changing from norwegian to english, solved the issue!

    "Media Wizard" worked like a charm this time around, now it's time to test the new image :)

    Thanks for the quick solution :).

  2. Hi.

    Rebuilded the image, downloaded pack from your site, made a new pack containing all packmodels downloaded. Getting an error when using Media Wizard and creating Offline deployment media, that states that the platform pack is corrupt. Regardless of the packs I choose, singel or multi, old or new, i get the same error.

  3. Hi Tom,

    If you are receiving the same error on the same screen as what is mentioned above it would probably be best to try and recapture your image. If you continue to see problems you can check that the SmartDeploy metadata exists in the WIM file. To do so you will need to open the SmartDeploy Enterprise Command Prompt and run SmartWIM /info [path to WIM] then copy the resulting info and reply with it.

    Thanks,

    Erik

    Thanks for the reply. I've rebuilded the image from scratch, but now i get another error. I'll open a new thread for that.

  4. Hi Steve,

    Does the image you are using deploy fine when not used with SCCM? For example can you create offline media with the image and deploy it.

    I ask because this behavior can occur when the image file does not have the correct metadata. When an image is captured with the SmartDeploy Enterprise Capture Wizard custom metadata is added to the WIM, that details the information about the source virtual disk. If this information is missing the check for valid disk structure which runs after selecting next, at the recreate drives page, will fail. This leads to the next question of how the image was created?

    Thanks,

    Erik

    Hello!

    I've got the same error, but without using SCCM, just SD. Have created standalone boot media on an external harddrive. Just updated the image with patches and upgrade of Citrix, Java, Adobe, Flash and Silverligt. This image have worked before...?

  5. Hello Tom,

    If you open the answer file and scroll to the bottom you should see the <unattend_delay/> on the fourth line from the end of the XML. It is here that you will want to make the edit, you can change the <unattend_delay/> to <unattend_delay>30</unattend_delay>.

    Thanks,

    Erik

    Thank you!

  6. Sorry to bump this thread, but I've got the unattenden mode to work, the only issue I have is the delay. Where in the XML file should this be placed?

    Our file:

    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>

    <smartdeploy version="1.1" version_debug="1.1.1960">

    <deploy_wizard mode="Unattended">

    <unattend_delay>30</unattend_delay>

    <welcome>

    <hide_options_button>false</hide_options_button>

    </welcome>

    <select_image>

    <image_file>[AnswerFolder]\z\Win7Refpc64.wim</image_file>

    <image_name>Windows7refpc64</image_name>

    </select_image>

    Still we have the default delay time, 60 sec.

    Not a big problem, but nice to know how the config should look like.

    Best regards

    Tom Tangen
