  1. We are about to install the trial, and I had a quick prep question; Our network is very locked down. What ports do I need to tell my network guy to open up in order to push images to devices on other vlans? Thanks!
  2. With the new cloud deployment available, will we be able to leverage that across networks? Of course initially we'd have to image on the original network even using the cloud deployment but I'm wondering, after initial imaging, would we be able to pull up the console, pull up the machine in the computer management list, right click on the machine and schedule a deployment, even if they are off of the original network? As of right now, even with the cloud package set up, if I schedule a deployment, what package does that pull? The one on my SmartDeploy "server" or the one that I've cloud uploaded already?
  3. I need to use network deployment to image computers at out-of-state sites. I was wondering what the best way to do that would be, as if I deployed images to those sites on my current machine, it would take entirely too long for it to communicate over the company network.
  4. While imaging less than 10 computers at a time (sometimes less than 5 computers), we are getting reports from our network infrastructure team that network bandwidth is maxed out and saturated to the point that all users on campus cannot utilize any network assets. We have a 1GB backbone/switches throughout campus and all imaging communication resides on premise inside our DMZ. We usually image via unicast to our WDS server and expect to be able to image up to ~25 without speed issues before going with multicast transmissions, but are still having network speed issues with less than 10 at one time. We have been able to image successfully in the past without speed issues, but we are trying to pinpoint what has changed since then causing our bottle-neck. Our image size has actually decreased in size to 10.4GB. Any input is appreciated.
  5. Hello all, We recently transitioned from Dell 7450's to Dell 7470's. The trouble is- Smartdeploy PE environment does not load a proper network driver for this particular laptop (no ip and no loaded driver). Is there a way to properly add a new network driver to this PE environment so that i can boot a 7470? http://www.dell.com/us/business/p/latitude-e7470-ultrabook/pd
