  1. Ok, I'll see what my colleagues say about charging each client for 1 additional license, so their base image has that functionality. Basically though for me, I was hoping to have 1 base image, that when I then need to build for a new client I can modify that one to suit ; looks like I won't be able to
  2. Ok, it didn't seem to work. I tried doing it using cmd /n as well (as per ). The option I choose for it was "After image is applied" rather than before applied, and whatever the other 2 or so options were. If after the install I try run it manually, it gives an error on Line 14, Char 25. "Object required: objnode, Code: 800A01A8, Source: Microsoft VBScript runtime error".
  3. When an image has been created ; if you then want to go in 3 months later and apply the latest Windows Updates to it, it doesn't let you as Windows complains about activation. Is there a way around this, or can you only modify your original image for a small amount of time?
  4. It looks like GPO wasn't deploying properly (even though we ran a manual gpupdate /force) ; it wasn't disabling the built in Windows Firewall etc. After a bit of mucking around, it looks to be working now.
  5. I've got another 20 machines to deploy tomorrow, so will test and report back!
  6. Ok, so essentially I could just put %SmartDeploy_Media%\uk-localise.vbs and it should work?
  7. Just another question based on: Should I be using %SmartDeploy_Media% rather than [AnswerFolder]\uk-localise.vbs ? Thanks!
  8. Do I choose "After image is applied" ? Also, do I need to prefix it with cscript.exe ?
  9. I'll check on Monday which is when I'm next on-site. Thanks!
  10. Just one question ; should I be changing T: at all ?
  11. That's great, I'll give it a try tomorrow as I move onto my next SmartDeploy rollout!
  12. Hi Erik, The machine is manually added to the domain and Domain Admins is listed in the local Administrators group.
  13. All the machines that have been deployed using SmartDeploy no longer work using C$ and a Domain Admin account. If we use a local admin account on the machine, it works fine...... All other Windows 7 and Windows XP machines that were built "the old way" ie. not via SmartDeploy still work as usual. Has anyone ever come across this before?
  14. Is there a way to set English (United Kingdom) as the Region Language / Locale ? I tried changing (United States) in the smartdeploy.xml (as UK is not an option when running through the wizard) however that doesn't seem to work. Cheers, Daniel.
