Currently when the agent is installed it assumes a local network install first as it searches for the deployment server locally. One after it fails then it proceeds to "check-in" with the cloud service. It takes a really long time for laptops to sometimes come up in the console and really slows down things. I've seen it take up to three hours in some cases and multiple reboots of the console server and client workstation before it actually appears in the console. I'd like to see more of a cloud first approach to smartdeploy and possibly even a smartdeploy hosted cloud deployment flow where the images, platform packs, application packs, etc. are all hosted by smartdeploy and we don't need to have a seperate google drive account for deployments.
