  1. SmartDeploy 3.0. I have an issue when deploying an application to a Win 10 computer where the status is stuck on "ExecutingTasks". The installation does not finish and the status never changes. I deleted the SD folder within C:\Windows\Temp but this does not reset the computer status in the Console. If I restart the smartdeploy client service on the computer the same application pack is again copied to the SD folder within C:\Windows\temp. I’ve also tried restarting the smartdeploy api service on the smartdeploy server with no luck. The option to cancel the Pending is grayed out in the Smartdeploy console for that task. I've also tried uninstalling/reinstalling the smartdeploy client without success. How do I terminate/end/cancel the application deployment?
  2. Any update on this - when and how can you force clients to upgrade?
  3. Thanks Jeff. I tested the process and it worked smoothly. The only thing I noticed is that the mapped network printers were not migrated to the Windows 10 image. Do you know if this is expected behavior or should network printers be migrated as part of the User Data Migration?
  4. Hi, We would like to upgrade Windows 7 computers to Windows 10 while preserving the user's data. What would be the best approach to achieve this? I am assuming I would select the Deploy an Image option > install the required apps > Enable 'User Data Migration' - User Settings, app Settings, Documents. I am not sure if these User Data Migration settings are compatible between Windows 7 and Windows 10. Any insight would be appreciated. thanks, CJ
  5. Thanks for the reply Jeff but unfortunately the powershell script is not deploying through Smart Deploy. The script executes on the computer locally, so I know it works. Is there a log file I can view to help troubleshoot the issue? thanks, CJ
  6. Hi, I am new to Smart Deploy and have been searching the forum but havent found what i am looking for and hoping someone can assist. I want to know if you can deploy powershell scripts to client computer from the smartdeploy console. I want to deploy simple copy or config scripts to client computers that have the smart deploy client/agent installed. If so what is the process to configure this? Thanks, CJ
