  1. Yea I kept on getting errors when it attempts to create a WDS session, it ended up being some MTU issues on the router setting and on the wds server. Thanks for the response!!!
  2. This is weird I assumed I could deploy my 2012 r2 server through WDS with smartdeploy, but when I go to create the wim file do not see the option to check the check box for it. I should point out that the options appears when ever I select my windows 7 vmdk file.. Any ideas? Please let me know what information anyone needs to help resolve it, or even if it's a possibility. Thanks
  3. Has anyone had any luck find a platform pack for this make in model for windows 7? I can't seem to find it anywhere.. Thanks!
  4. Will do thanks, I'll post the results when I get it done.
  5. Same Result. Yes, this is during the load process before you get to the smart deploy splash screen. Error message details: File: \windows\systems32\drivers\percsas2.sys Status: 0xc000035a Info: Windows failed to load because critical system driver is missing or corrupted. The platform pack downloaded from the website with no alternations: Dell PowerEdge R420 Windows PE: Network: b57nd60x.inf bxdiag.inf bdfcoe.inf bxnd.inf bwois.inf bxvdb.inf evbd.inf Raid: nodev.inf percsas2.inf Windows Server 2012 R2 Not including everything here
  6. I'm having a problem where when trying to deploy a smart deploy image to a server R420. I downloaded the platform pack from the smartdeploy website and then create my boot media. On boot up I receive corrupted driver error when trying to boot from the USB bootable media. So I decided to create my own platform pack to see if that would fix the issue but realized once I got to the download site that a majority of the driver installs are exe's and do not contain the files you specify during your training videos. Is there another round about way to get the drivers needed to deploy the image?
  7. I'm having problems combining platform packs. I have added Dell Latitude E6440 and E6540 to the default platform pack. It was suggested I remove any USB 3.0 in the Windows PE, after removing them I then retested to see if it would deploy, which it doesn't. If I deploy a machine with a platform pack that was in the default originally every thing works fine... If I attempt to deploy it to either a E6540 or E6440 I do not receive the USB drive smartdeploy to deploy it... but it does boot to the smart deploy slash screen. I know it's a good platform pack as if I create the boot media just supplying the E6540 or E6440 everything works fine but after combining the platform packs is where the issue is.
  8. I'm still having this issue and have not found a solution to the problem as now. I noticed the view count started rising a bit and was wondering if anyone else was facing the same issue? Either way if I could confirm that the issue is on my side or on smart deploys that would help my troubleshooting a lot.
  9. Sorry for the late response, I had to wait until another batch of these came in. went through and removed the USB 3.0 from the Windows PE nodes (there was only one). I can now Image everything that came with the default package from the installation, but still cannot install E6540 after importing it into the default package. I'm keeping one on hand until this is resolved from here on out, so no more long waits. thanks for all the help and please keep it coming . I forgot to mention that I am now getting an IP address but still cannot access the smartdeploy drive so we are making some progress.
  10. Going down the list I only saw one that had USB3.0 on the Windows PE it was on the OptiPlex 7010, there are few others that have SATA should I remove those as well? Below is the list of packs I have in the default.ppk Latitude's: E6320 E6430 E6440 E6510 E6520 E6530 E6540 OptiPlex's: 7010 755 7010 960 980 990
  11. Ok I've upgraded to the latest version, then used the platform manager to add the missing platforms in. Same result I'm afraid. I can boot from the USB but once I'm in smart deploy it does not detect the USB drive letter labeled smartdeploy (the one that has the image) Used the suggestion above recreate the USB with only the platform for that model and it works just fine. As always any continued help would be greatly appreciated.
